Endurance Agbor is a consummate Energy & Natural Resources, Infrastructure & Construction Projects and Corporate & Commercial Lawyer. He is also an award-winning Arbitration Practitioner, with professional experience at the highest levels. He is a first class law graduate from the prestigious University of Calabar, Nigeria.
A first class graduate of Law, Endurance is also lecturer of Oil & Gas Law in the University of Calabar, and an alumnus of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation/Institute for Energy Law of the Center for American & International Law/Association of International Petroleum Negotiators joint course on International Oil & Gas Law, Contracts, and Negotiations. He is reputed for his qualitative, commercially responsive, and tailor-made service delivery.
Endurance has worked with various and leading law firms in Nigeria, which includes as AELEX where he undertook several transactions on areas of laws such Oil & Gas Law, Corporate & Commercial Law and Arbitration.

INFRASTRUCTURE & CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
1.Energy & Natural Resources
▪Advised a multinational oil and gas company in its acquisition of equity interest in the Aje Gas and Condensate Field (OML 113);
▪Advised Gulf Petrochem FZC in its acquisition of Nosak Group’s interest in Grand Petroleum & Chemicals Ltd;
▪Part of a team which advised an international oil and gas company on its N5 billion leasing of a petroleum products storage terminal in Apapa, Lagos, Nigeria; ▪On the team constituted to advise the Department of Petroleum Resources on the conversion of the Environmental Guidelines and Standards for the Petroleum Industry in Nigeria (EGASPIN) into Regulations;
▪Assisted with the incorporation of a JVC with the object of obtaining a Meter Asset Provider Permit, to contribute to the rollout out of meter assets within the Electricity Supply Industry, in order to address the metering gap;
▪Contributed notes to public hearings before the Nigerian House of Representatives on bills for the: (a) Establishment of the Erosion Control Prevention Commission; (b) Amendment of the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (Establishment, etc) Act, 2006; (c) Establishment of the Desertification, Erosion, Flood and Ecological Agency; (d) Amendment of the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (Establishment) Act; (e) Establishment of the Institute of Environmental Practitioners of Nigeria;
▪Part of a team which compiled a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Compendium comprising of over 92 national and local legislation, regulations and guidelines for the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Plant;
▪Rendered advisory services to a Nigerian oil and gas servicing company with regards to infractions on local content considerations on the part of its foreign (multinational) partner.
▪Advised a Nigerian E&P company in the acquisition of interest in Block 2, Ghana;
▪Advised an Irish multinational oil & gas exploration company operating within the hitherto disputed maritime boundary between Ghana and Ivory Coast on the consequences of the decision of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) on its interests within the disputed area.
▪Represented an Exploration & Production (E&P) company in an arbitration reference bothering on the computation of operating expenses for the purpose of computing Petroleum Profits Tax;
▪Assisted an arbitrator in an investor-state International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (“ICSID”) arbitration arising from policy changes in the state’s electricity supply industry which affect the interests of the investor;
▪Led the ǼLEX team, with a “Best Law Firm Advocate” performance, to a first Lagos Court of Arbitration – Young Arbitrators Network (LCA-YAN) International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition title in 2018, beating teams from Banwo & Ighodalo and Aluko & Oyebode, respectively, to clinch the title;
▪Coached the Lagos State University (“LASU”) Team to a first Lagos Court of Arbitration – Young Arbitrators Network (LCA-YAN) International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition title in 2019 (Student Category);
▪Contributed to the Dispute Resolution Training Manual for the Accra, Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt Offices of ǼLEX.
3.Infrastructure & Construction Projects
▪Team lead for Nigerian Counsel on Project Alpha – the development and operation of the Apapa Port Multipurpose Terminal G in Lagos, Nigeria by the Modandola Group, through its subsidiary, Creek Road Multipurpose Terminal Limited;
▪Part of a team which advised on the Dredging and Reclamation of the Imperial International Business City (IIBC) within the Lekki Peninsula, Lagos;
▪Part of a team responsible for the preparation of an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contract and a Design, Build and Operate Contract for Dubri Oil Company Ltd’s Gas Plant Projects.
▪Member of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area Agreement (“AfCFTA”) Advisory Team at ǼLEX;
▪Rendered corporate/commercial advisory to WorleyParsons/DeltaAfrik (as In-House Counsel) necessary for the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation services of the company
▪Part of a team which conducted due diligence investigations on Unity Bank Plc in furtherance of its capital raising exercise of $400 million;
▪Advised Google on Project Lightsaber – a worldwide project curating Google’s employment policies and ensuring compliance with Nigerian law;
▪Advised Aggreko on death in service benefits and modalities under Nigerian law.
